EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State hockey team is ranked third in the nation in this week's U.S. College Hockey Online Poll, released Monday evening. The USCHO poll features 30 voters comprised of 22 coaches and eight media members.
The Spartans are the only team in the nation with 20 victories and stand at 20-3-4 overall entering Friday's showdown with fifth-ranked Michigan at Munn Ice Arena (sold out). MSU is 14-2-4 in CCHA play and in first place in the league, with a two-point advantage over the Wolverines.
