Michigan State Women's Tennis Falls to Northwestern

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State women's tennis team was blanked 7-0 by Northwestern on Saturday, April 24, in Evanston, Ill. In addition to a No. 23 ranking, the Wildcats are sitting at the top of the Big Ten with an 8-1 record (14-4 overall). The loss dropped Michigan State to 11-10 overall (1-8 Big Ten).
The Spartans lost all three doubles matches for just the fifth time this season.
In singles, MSU senior Brooke West delivered the closest match, falling to Northwestern's Katherine Nasser, 7-5, 6-2, at the No. 1 position.
Michigan State returns to action tomorrow, when it finishes out the regular season. MSU will take on Illinois in Champaign at 10 a.m.
