Field Hockey Players Earn More Honors

East Lansing, Mich. - Five Michigan State field hockey players have been named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I National Academic squad. To qualify, student-athletes must have a minimum grade-point average of 3.30 and be a significant contributor to the team.
Senior Melissa Pryor and junior Nicole Catanzaro, along with sophomores Cyndyann Albaugh, Amy Ortwein, Jacqueline Scally and Deborah White were recognized by the NFHCA.
Pryor, who carries a 3.76 grade-point average in social relations, is a three-time honoree, while Catanzaro (3.26/education) and Scally (3.63/telecommunication) are two-time recipients of the award.
Albaugh, who majors in engineering, had the second-highest grade-point average (3.95) among the 214 players honored. Ortwein has a 3.07 GPA, while White carries a 3.81 GPA in English.
