EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State field hockey team will serve as volunteers for a picnic held by Transitions North on Friday, August 28. The Spartans will be at the event from 9 a.m. to noon.
Transitions North is a program of the Community Mental Health Board. The mission of the program is to promote and support on-going choices and opportunities for people with developmental disabilities and their families, assisting them to be full and equal citizens in the community.
The picnic is hosted yearly for the approximately 230 consumers who attend the work and adult activity programs at Transitions North.
