McNamara to Compete in All-Star Wrestling Dual

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State sophomore wrestler Pat McNamara (133, Jordan, Minn.) will compete in the NWCA All-Star dual on Monday at 8 p.m. in Stillwater, Okla. The dual will match the top two wrestlers at each weight class.
McNamara earned All-America status as a freshman after placing fifth at the 1998 NCAA Championships. He is currently ranked third in the nation according to the Amateur Wrestling News and fifth by InterMat Wrestling. This season he has posted a 23-3 record with 4 pins. In his last three matches he has one pinfall, and two major decisions in which his opponent has failed to score.
McNamara's opponent will be two-time NCAA champion Eric Guerrero of Oklahoma State. Guerrero, a three-time All-American, is the number one wrestler at 133 pounds and has posted a season record of 19-0. This will be the first meeting between McNamara and Guerrero.
