MSU Hosts Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament

East Lansing, Mich. - Michigan State will host the Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament, Nov. 6-8 at Spartan Stadium. The winner of the six-team tourney earns the Big Ten's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Penn State is the No. 1 seed after capturing its second consecutive Big Ten title with a 2-0 win over Ohio State on Nov. 1. As the top seed, the Lady Lions have a first-round bye along with Michigan, the tournament's No. 2 seed.
Host Michigan State is the No. 4 seed and will face fifth-seeded Iowa in the first game of the tourney on Friday, Nov. 6 at 11 a.m. No. 3 Ohio State and No. 6 Northwestern will face off in game two on Friday at 2 p.m.
Penn State, the winner of the last three Big Ten Tournaments, will play the winner of the MSU-Iowa game on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 11 a.m. The Wolverines will take on the winner of the Ohio State-Northwestern contest at 2 p.m. on Saturday. The championship game is set for 1 p.m., on Sunday, Nov. 8.
Admission for the tournament is $5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens. Tickets can be purchased at the gate each day or at the Jenison Field House athletic ticket office (517) 355-1610.
