Notes:
* JR F Rustyn Dolyny has scored six of his eight goals on special teams (five PPGs, one SHG).
* SO RW Adam Hall has a three-game goal-scoring streak. Hall, a Kalamazoo native who leads the Spartans with 17 goals, has 23 in his last 29 games dating back to last season.
* Prior to Jan. 13, Michigan State had gone 30 games without going into overtime, its longest stretch since 1981-82. The Spartans have now gone into overtime four times in their last six games.
* SR C Shawn Horcoff had two assists to extend his national lead to 33 assists on the year. That's one shy of the highest total at MSU in the past five years (Mike York had 34 assists in 1997-98). Horcoff leads the Spartans in scoring and is second in the nation with 42 points, including multiple-point games 13 times in 27 outings. He has had a hand in just under half of MSU's goals this season (42 of 85).
* MSU fell to 0-2-2 in overtime games this season.
* WMU snapped a nine-game winless streak against the Spartans (0-6-3), dating back to a 5-2 WMU win Feb. 7, 1997.
* JR G Joe Blackburn made his 1,000th career save in the second period tonight. He currently has 1,019 saves at MSU.
