Minneapolis, Minnesota - The Michigan State women's golf team is in seventh place after two rounds at the University of Minnesota Lady Northern Golf Invitational. Ohio State University leads the tournament with a score of 608. The Spartan golfers shot 619.
Spartan senior Kasey Gant (Fort Wayne, Ind.) is the team leader, shooting 79-72 for a combined score of 151 for fourth place. Junior golfer Emily Bastel (Upper Sandusky, Ohio) follows close behind with a two round score of 153, shooting 80-83 for ninth place. Mollie Fankhauser of Ohio State leads the tournament with a combined score of 145.
The Spartans tee off today at 9am for the final round.
