EAST LANSING, MICH. - The cold and windy conditions weren't enough to slow the Michigan State baseball team as it rolled over the Ontario Blue-Jays by a score of 21-2 at Kobs Field. The Spartans recorded 19 hits off of six different Blue-Jay pitchers. The Spartan winner pitcher was sophomore Scott Koerber (Sterling Heights, Mich.) who lasted three innings, gave up one hit and no runs.
Spartan catcher Rick Court started the MSU onslaught with his two-run homerun in the first inning. The Spartans went on to score 8 runs in the first three innings and had furthered their lead by scoring 5 runs in the fifth. Domanick Squires (Rochester Hills, Mich.) closed the game out striking out the final two Blue-Jay batters.
