Somerville Heads To NCAA Cross Country Championships

EAST LANSING, MICH. - Michigan State junior Ann Somerville (Ironwood, Mich./Ironwood) heads to the 2000 NCAA Championships at Ames, Iowa on November 20. Somerville received her bid to the championships after finishing fifth (20:58) at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional meet. Her 20:58 at the regional meet is the third fastest in the Big Ten.
The top five finish was Somerville's fourth of the year. Earlier in the season, Somerville finished fourth at the Big Ten Championships, earning her All-Big Ten accolades.
No other Spartan runners received at-large bids for the meet.
