Travis Gulick (East Lansing, Mich./East Lansing) Has ability to play either infield or outfield. Will provide the Spartans an offensive spark as he batted .555 with 13 homeruns and 49 RBI. Had stolen 19 bases last season.
Tim Day (Westchester, Ohio/Lakota East)A solid right-handed pitcher that has the athletic ability to play infield as well. Left-handed batter, who hit .354. Also recorded a 1.74 ERA from the mound. Suffered a season-ending injury at the beginning of his junior year, which sidelined him for the majority of the year.
"This is a great start to what might be our best recruiting class ever at MSU," said Head Coach Ted Mahan. "We got exactly what we wanted with two pitchers (Miller and Day), along with some offense, as all three guys are excellent hitters. And with Miller and Gulick being local kids, it makes this class even more special."
