Women's Tennis Loses To Miami-Ohio, 6-1

EAST LANSING, Mich - The Michigan State women's tennis team lost a 6-1 dual match to Miami of Ohio Saturday afternoon. The loss drops MSU to 0-2 overall.
Junior Natasha Skogerboe (Coon Rapids, Minn.) got the lone singles victory for the Spartans, an easy 6-1, 6-1 win over Catherine Dilley. MSU also got a win in doubles competition as junior Kelli Hayes (Munster, Ind.) teamed up with freshman Kerry Pastein (Midland, Mich.) for an 8-6 triumph over Miami's Janet Baker and Emily Frome.
Michigan State now returns home for a pair of duals over the next two weeks. The Spartans take on Eastern Michigan Feb. 11 at 3 p.m., then have a week off before hosting Illinois-Chicago on Feb. 18 at 4 p.m. Both Matches will be held at the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility on Mount Hope Rd.
