Notes:
o SR C Shawn Horcoff's three assists allowed him to overtake Michigan's Mike Comrie and win the CCHA conference scoring title. Horcoff finishes the CCHA season with 44 points in league games (eight goals, 36 assists), while Comrie, with one assist in a 6-3 loss to Bowling Green tonight, finishes with 43 points. Horcoff is the first Spartan to win the CCHA scoring title since Bryan Smolinski in 1992-93.
o MSU scored at least one power-play goal for the 11th consecutive game, the longest streak at MSU since a 24-game stretch with at least one PPG from Nov. 23, 1991, to Feb. 22, 1992.
o MSU's opponent scored first for the fourth consecutive game and the sixth time in the last eight games. MSU was 1-6-0 in its first seven games this season when its opponent scored first and is 4-3-2 in its last nine games when the opponent scores first (since Jan. 13).
o MSU honored its senior class of D Brody Brandstatter, G Mike Gresl, D Brad Hodgins, C Shawn Horcoff, D Mike Weaver and student video coordinator Joe Ford prior to the game, as they played in their final regular-season home game. The group's four-year record of 108-35-20 is good for a .724 winning percentage, the best at MSU since the class of 1990 (.746 winning percentage).
o SR C Shawn Horcoff recorded three assists, giving him an NCAA-leading 45 on the year and 55 points on the year, good for third in the nation. He surpassed Mike York's point total from all of last year (54) in five fewer games.
o JR RW Rustyn Dolyny had his third two-goal game of the season and the 10th of his career.
