Women's Tennis Eliminated from Big Ten Championship

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State women's tennis team was eliminated from the Big Ten Tournament by Indiana this afternoon, 4-0.
Indiana took the doubles point with a victory at the No. 2 spot. Michigan state forfeited at No. 3, giving the Hoosiers the necessary two matches required to secure the team point. The No. 1 singles match was then abandoned.
MSU also forfeited at No. 5 and No. 6 singles to give Indiana a 3-0 lead. After IU secured the dual match victory with a win at No. 4 singles, the three remaining singles matches were also abandoned.
MSU finished the season with a 2-14 overall record, 0-10 in the Big Ten.

Doubles Matches No. 1 - Anderson/Blanch (IU) vs. Townsend/Skogerboe (MSU), abandoned No. 2 - Levin Wallihan (IU) def. Figenshau/McQueen, 8-1 No. 3 - Field/Hsia (IU) won by forfeit
