EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State women's cross country team has inked three cross country champs to National Letters of Intent to run cross country and track during the 2000-2001 seasons.
Jamie Krzyminski (Corunna, Mich.) will be joining the MSU program after winning the state championship in both the 1600 and 3200-meter races in 2000. Krzyminski has won the state title in the 1600 meters for the past three years. Running for Corunna High School, Krzyminski is the reigning state cross country champion.
Michelle Carson (Winnipeg, Manitoba) comes to MSU after becoming Manitoba's provincial champion in cross country and the 800, 1600, and 3000 meters. She was named as the 1999 Manitoba Female Distance Athlete of the Year. Carson also placed seventh in the Canadian cross county nationals.
Kimberly Landane (Atlanta, Mich.) won the state cross country championship in Class D. Her time of 18:23 set a new state record at that class.
