Gant Continues Strong Showing At Oldsmobile Classic

East Lansing, Mich. - MSU senior Kasey Gant fired a 69 on Saturday in the third round of the Oldsmobile Classic at Walnut Hills Country Club in East Lansing to move into a tie for 21st at 6-under (210). The Fort Wayne, Ind., native is competing in her first-ever LPGA event.
Karrie Webb, the top-ranked player in the world, tops the leader board at the $750,000 tournament at 23-under and has an eight shot lead over Christie Kerr and Meg Mallon.
Former Spartan Becky Iverson (1986-88) continues to play well and is tied for seventh at 11-under. Iverson shot a 68 for the second straight day for a three-round total of 205.
Another former Spartan, Barb Mucha (1983-84), stands tied for 27th. Mucha shot a 1-over 73 on Saturday to fall out of the top 10.
