Men's Cross Country Ranked 18th In Country

EAST LANSING, MICH. - The Michigan State men's cross country team is ranked 18th in the country according to USCCCA's MONDO rankings.

"This is good for the confidence of the team," said Head Coach Jim Stintzi. "It gives us an opportunity to start the season off on the right foot."

Arkansas was listed as the top ranked team in the country.

In addition to their 18th rank, the Spartans are ranked second in the Great Lakes region behind cross country powerhouse Wisconsin.

The Spartans kick off their season on September 16 with the Spartan Invitational, which will be held at Forets Akers EastGolf Course. The invitational is the only home event scheduled for the 2000 season.
