MSU Women's Golf Ranks Seventh in Golfweek.com Poll

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State women's golf team is ranked seventh in the Sagarin Golfweek.com Sept. 27th rankings after having played in just one tournament. The Spartans are the second highest-ranked team in the Big Ten Conference, Ohio State is No. 1 in the poll. The Spartans were ranked 11th in the preseason poll.
Three Spartan players are ranked in the top-50. Senior Emily Bastel (Upper Sandusky, Ohio/Upper Sandusky) was the Spartan leader, ranking 11th after her tie for ninth-place finish at the NCAA Fall Preview Sept. 24-26. Junior Allison Fouch (Grand Rapids, Mich./East Grand Rapids) ranks No. 13 in individual play, while senior Stacy Snider (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grandville) is No. 48.
The Spartan women's golf team will compete in the team's second tournament of the fall season, the Mercedes Benz Intercollegiate in Knoxville, Tenn., Oct. 12-14.
