MSU Women's Golf Ranks Sixth in Golfweek.com Poll

The Michigan State women's golf team is ranked sixth in the Sagarin Golfweek.com Oct. 3rd rankings after having played in just one tournament. The Spartans are the second highest-ranked team in the Big Ten Conference, Ohio State is No. 2 in the poll. The Spartans were ranked 7th last week.
Two Spartan players are ranked in the top-20. Senior Emily Bastel (Upper Sandusky, Ohio/Upper Sandusky) was the Spartan leader, ranking 11th after her tie for ninth-place finish at the NCAA Fall Preview Sept. 24-26. Junior Allison Fouch (Grand Rapids, Mich./East Grand Rapids) ranks No. 15 in individual play. Senior Stacy Snider (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grandville) ranks 68th.
The Spartan women's golf team will compete in the team's second tournament of the fall season, the Mercedes Benz Intercollegiate in Knoxville, Tenn., Oct. 12-14.
