EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State head crew coach Bebe Bryans announced the National Letter of Intent signing of six athletes to attend the university next fall and row for the Spartan women's crew.
The committed athletes include Kristin Dooley (Baldwinsville, N.Y.), Ashley Johnson (Park Hills, Ky), Ashley Goosen (Rockford, Mich.), Christen Brown (Tecumseh, Mich.), Valerie Lincoln (Fremont, Mich.), and Sarah Brady (Attica, Mich.).
Bryans looks to continue a winning tradition with the Spartan crew, having competed in the NCAA Championship for four consecutive years. Although a large majority of the team are walk-ons, she has the utmost confidence in the new recruits.
"This is the strongest recruiting class we've had at Michigan State, " Bryans stated. "We're excited about the quality of the class that has decided to join us here, and we expect them to step in and carry on what this team has already established."
