MSU Men's Tennis Team Loses to Western Michigan

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Michigan State men's tennis team was defeated by Western Michigan, 7-0, on Sunday, Feb. 25 in Kalamazoo.
Freshman Chris Mitchell (Ann Arbor, Mich.) and sophomore Jimmy McGuire (Columbus, Ohio) took their opponents to a full three sets, only to be defeated. Ryan Tomlinson of WMU defeated Mitchell 6-7, 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 3 singles position, while McGuire was defeated by Ravishankar Pathanjali (WMU) 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 at the No. 4 singles position.
The Spartans (5-5, 0-2 Big Ten) head to Florida for their spring break trip where they will face Jacksonville University on Tuesday, March 6 and South Florida on Wednesday, March 7.
