WEST SPRING, Fla. - Due to inclement weather conditions, the final round of the Spaulding/Peggy Kirk Bell Women's Golf Invitational was cancelled today. Michigan State returns to East Lansing with a first-place finish out of 15 teams with 306, one stroke under Indiana University. Kent State, Arkansas State, and Florida International tied for third, shooting 310 for 18 holes.
Spartan junior Stacy Snider won the event at an even par 72 strokes, tied with Martina Gillen of Kent State. Senior Kasey Gant followed, shooting 75 for the round to tie for fifth.
MSU tees off again at the Liz Murphy Invitational in Athens, Ga., March 30- April 1st.
