MSU Men's Gymnastics Travels to Michigan and Penn State

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State men's gymnastics team closes out the regular season on the road this weekend. MSU travels to Ann Arbor to face No. 2 Michigan this Friday (March 16), at 7 p.m., and to State College, Pa., to face No. 12 Penn State this Sunday (March 18), at 2 p.m.
Junior Jonathan Plante (Easton, Pa.) remains ranked first in the nation on the pommel horse with a two score average of 9.350, for the third consecutive week. Plante has won the pommel horse competition in seven of the Spartans' eight meets this season.
This week the Spartans are ranked sixth in the nation according to Gym Info with a two score average of 212.100. The team is also ranked in the top 10 in each event: seventh on the floor (35.350), third on the pommel horse (35.625), third on the still rings (36.575), eighth on the vault (35.975), sixth on the parallel bars (34.625) and seventh on the high bar (34.875).
