Spartan Baseball To Hold Holiday Camp

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State baseball team will hold its annual holiday camp Dec. 27-29 in the Duffy Daugherty Building on the MSU campus. Camp hours are 1-6 p.m. daily. Instruction will include pitching, catching, hitting, fielding and all other areas of baseball. The staff includes MSU head coach Ted Mahan, Spartan assistant coaches, current members of the team and selected college and high school coaches.

The Spartan baseball team is coming off a 38-19 season and an appearance in the Big Ten Tournament. The 38 wins were the second highest in school history. Offensively, MSU finished fourth in the nation in both batting average (.344) and home runs (95). A school record five Spartans were drafted by professional baseball teams and three others played pro ball with independent teams in the Frontier League.
