Soccer's Tyler Robinson Earns Academic All-America Honors

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State men's soccer goalkeeper Tyler Robinson (Sr., Lansing) earned Verizon Academic All-America Second Team honors for the 2002 season, it was announced this week. Robinson was selected to the ballot after earning Verizon Academic All-District IV First Team honors. The Lansing native was one of two players from the Big Ten Conference to be selected to the team.
"I am extremely proud of Tyler Robinson," said MSU head coach Joe Baum. "He is one of the most hard working, dedicated players I've coached in all my years. His work and inspiration have been a driving force for this team."
Robinson sports a 3.95 GPA in History. He has been an Academic All-Big Ten selection every year he has played.
This season, Robinson posted six shutouts and backstopped the Spartans to a final record of 12-7. He also earned All-Big Ten First Team honors.
