MSU Rowing Prepares For Tough Competition At Buckeye Invitational

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The No. 12 Michigan State women's crew will race at the 2002 Buckeye Invitational Saturday (April 13) on the Scioto River. The Spartans will face a six-team field, four of which are nationally ranked according to the USRowing/CRCA poll, including the No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes and No. 8 Michigan. No. 14 Texas, Clemson and Cincinnati will also challenge the Big Ten in Columbus, Ohio. The races are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. EDT.
The Spartans last rowed on their home course at Lake Ovid against the Wolverines on Saturday, April 6. The Wolverines won five out of the six races, while Michigan State took first in the second novice eight race.
