Michigan State Hosts Ohio State At Oldsmobile Park This Weekend

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State baseball team will host Ohio State this Friday-Sunday (May 10-12) at Lansing's Oldsmobile Park. For Friday night's 7 p.m. contest, Michigan State will host a "White Out" as all fans wearing white will be admitted for $1. The first 100 fans through the gates on Friday night will receive a free Chevrolet key chain. Saturday's doubleheader begins at 4 p.m., featuring "Take A Kid To A Game." Kids in the 8th grade and under get in free when accompanied by an adult and all Jr. Spartan Family members will also receive free admission. The first 100 fans on Saturday will receive a free pair of sunglasses, courtesy of Chevrolet. In between games on Saturday, MSU baseball will recognize its 2002 senior class. On Sunday, MSU will celebrate Mother's Day with "Take Her Out To The Ball Game." All women ages 18 and older will receive free admission for Sunday's 1 p.m. game. For all games, adult tickets may be purchased for $3, while senior citizens and kids not included in the promotions may purchase $2 tickets.
The Michigan State baseball team owns an overall record of 29-15, 11-11 in the Big Ten. Ohio State enters the weekend series with a 15-8 conference record, good for second place in the league. At 11-11 in the Big Ten, MSU enters the weekend tied for third in the conference. The top six teams in the regular-season conference standings will make the Big Ten Tournament. With eight conference games remaining, just two and a half games separate third place from 11th place.
