EAST LANSING, Mich - Michigan State University men's soccer hosts Bowling Green on Friday, Oct. 31 at 3 p.m. and No. 7 Notre Dame on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. Both games will be played at Old College Field.
The Spartans finished regular-season Big Ten conference play last weekend with a defeat of Wisconsin. The win landed MSU (10-3-2) in third place with a 3-1-2-conference record, behind Indiana and Michigan.
Michigan State senior goalkeeper Mike Robinson (Troy) was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 27. He received the honor after posting two shutouts against Western Michigan and Wisconsin. Robinson has totaled five shutouts on the season, leading the Spartan defense that has blanked its opponents seven times this season.
After this weekend's games the Spartans look forward to the Big Ten Tournament, Nov. 13-16 and a possible NCAA Tournament bid.
