Men's Soccer Faces No. 25 Oakland At Home

EAST LANSING, Mich. - - The Michigan State men's soccer team plays the second game of its five game homestand on Wednesday (Oct. 8). The game against No. 25 Oakland University will start at 4 p.m. EDT.
The Spartans are coming off two consecutive double overtime victories over Loyola (Ill.) and Ohio State. MSU's 2-1 win over Ohio State on Sunday lifted the Spartans to 1-0-2 in the Big Ten, and 6-2-2 overall.
Michigan State senior forward Thomas Trivelloni (Mt. Clemens) was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week on Monday (Oct. 6) for his efforts against Ohio State and Loyola. Trivelloni netted the Spartans' game-winning goal in a 3-2 victory over Loyola and he assisted on MSU sophomore Ryan McMahen's (Munster, Ind.) game-winning goal against the Buckeyes. He also added an assist vs. Loyola and the game-tying goal vs. Ohio State. He is second on the team in goals (5) and points (13), while standing tied for the team lead with three assists.
The Spartans will continue Big Ten play when they host Michigan on Sunday (Oct. 12) at Old College Field. Game time is 2:30 p.m. EDT.
