Spartan Baseball Signs Ryan Basham To National Letter Of Intent

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State head baseball coach Ted Mahan has announced that Ryan Basham (Lowell, Ind.), a 5-10 all-state infielder from Lowell High School, has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Spartans next season.
"We are very excited to add Ryan to our program," said Mahan. "He was one of the top hitters I saw last summer and he'll definitely bring some power to the plate for us."
RYAN BASHAM (Infielder, 5'10", 170 pounds, Lowell, Ind./Lowell High School):
Honor-Roll student ... Earned all-state, all-region, all-district and all-league honors his junior season ... Batted .538 with seven homers and 32 RBI in 2002 ... Batting .580 his senior year with 12 home runs and 13 doubles while driving in 38 runs.
Basham joins Craig Brookes (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central High School), Eric Daws (Bozeman, Mont.), Spencer Hahn (Findlay, Ohio/Findlay High School), Clay Kovac (Mundelein, Ill./Mundelein High School), Troy Krider (Auburn, Ind./DeKalb High School), Kris Morris (Jenison, Mich./Jenison High School) and Sean Walker (Mundelein, Ill./Carmel High School), all of whom signed NLI's earlier in the year.
