VERONA, Wis. - The Michigan State men's and women's golf teams made it through just 13 holes before play was suspended due to inclement weather at the 2003 Badger Invitational. The Badger Invitational is being played at the University Ridge Golf Course in Verona, Wis.
The first round of the Badger Invitational began with a shotgun start at 1 p.m., before heavy rains around 2 p.m. forced the golfers back to the clubhouse for nearly 90 minutes. Play resumed around 3:40 p.m. before dusk and heavy rains suspended play once more.
The remaining first-round holes will be played Saturday, Sept. 13, starting at 8 a.m., followed by a shotgun start for round two.
