
Men's Tennis Wraps Up Play At Wolverine Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The Michigan State men's tennis team concluded play at the Wolverine Invitational hosted by the University of Michigan Sunday afternoon. MSU finished the three-day competition with eight singles matches vs. the host Wolverines.
Freshman Nick Rinks was the only member of the Spartan squad to earn a victory Sunday with a 6-2, 6-3 win at the No. 1 spot over Michigan's Matko Maravic. Two Spartans went to a third set in their matches, but both were beaten. Senior Cameron Marshall fell to Brian Hung at No. 2, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, and junior Mike Brown slipped at No. 8 to Joe Cariello, 6-2, 3-6, 1-0(8).
Also competing for MSU were sophomore Joseph McWilliams at No. 3, freshman Brian Compton at No. 4, freshman Adam Monich at No. 5, sophomore Michael Flowers at No. 6 and senior Anthony Stefani at No. 7.
Michigan State will return to Ann Arbor for the ITA Midwest Regionals Oct. 21-26.
