Pre-Game Pep Rally To Be Held In Grand Rapids

EAST LANSING, Mich. - All MSU alumni and Spartan fans are invited to attend a pre-game hockey reception and pep rally on Saturday, March 27, from 11 a.m. to noon EST, at The B.O.B., located at 20 Monroe Avenue NW in downtown Grand Rapids and right across the street from Van Andel Arena. Special guests that will attend include Hockey Coach Rick Comley, Athletics Director Ron Mason, other MSU VIPs, Sparty, the Slapshots and the MSU pep band. No reservations are required.
Michigan State (23-16-2 overall) received an at-large bid to the 2004 NCAA Tournament as a No. 3 seed in the Midwest Region. The Spartans will face-off against Minnesota-Duluth (26-12-4 overall) on Saturday, March 27, at 3:30 p.m., at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Mich. The first game on Saturday, at noon, pits two-time defending national champion Minnesota (26-13-3 overall) against Notre Dame (20-13-4 overall). The winners of the two semifinals will meet in the Midwest Regional Final on Sunday, March 28, at 1 p.m., for the right to advance to the NCAA Frozen Four in Boston, Mass., April 8 and 10.
