Michelle Fix and Stacey Hicks Selected To All-Big Team

EAST LANSING, Mich.- - Senior rowers Stacey Hicks and Michelle Fix were both 2004 All-Big Ten team selections, the Big Ten announced, earning first and second team honors, respectively.
Fix served as coxswain to the top Spartan varsity eight throughout much of her collegiate career, while Hicks took on a role as the boat's stroke, setting the pace for its rowers.
Fix, a general management major, also earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2001-02 and 2002-03.
Hicks, an accounting major, was also a National Scholar-Athlete Award selection, a 2004 All-Big Ten first team honoree and a recent CoSIDA pick for Academic All-District IV Second Team distinction. Hicks, who posts a 3.61 GPA, is a three-year Academic All-Big Ten honoree. She earned All-Big Ten First-Team honors in 2004, after earning All-Big Ten kudos in 2002 and 2003. In addition, she was selected as the 2001 Big Ten Freshman of the Year.
Both Fix and Hicks posted their final race as Spartans in Rancho Cordova, Calif., where they contributed to a first-place finish for the top Spartan varsity eight in the "C" final at the NCAA Championship, good for 13th place overall.
