Cross Country Prepares For Championship Run

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State women's cross country team will head to Minnesota this weekend to compete in the 25th Big Ten Championship Race. Entering championship competition, the women rank 23rd in the nation according to the October 17th FinishLynx Division I cross country poll.
The Spartans head to Minnesota after a successful weekend competing in the Eastern Michigan Classic. MSU was paced by Sarah Price, with an 8th place finish and a time of 18:41, the second time Price has posted the top Spartan time in 2005. Emily Adama, finished in 18:57, followe by Sarah Stornan and Aimee Keenan who crossed the finish line together at the 19:13 mark.
Last season the Spartans tied for second place finish at the Big Ten Championships. This year with an experience group of core runners, the team expects solid results in Minneapolis this weekend. The race is scheduled to kick off at 10:45 central time. Results will be posted after the completion of the race on Sunday.
