Athletic Development Office Staff Appointments Announced

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State Senior Associate Athletics Director and Director of Development Chuck Sleeper announced Tuesday, Nov. 2 the hiring of Anna Barber and Tim Stedmen in the MSU Athletic Development Office. Stedmen will start as the Assistant Athletics Director for Development on Dec. 1, while Barber will assume the role of Associate Director of Development and Director of Major Gifts on Nov. 14.
Since 2001, Stedman has served as Assistant Athletics Director for Development at Northern Illinois University, where he was instrumental in a capital campaign for a $7 million academic and athletic center. While at NIU, he secured 27 of the 28 largest gifts in the history of NIU athletics. A graduate of Western Illinios University, his professional career also includes stints as Assistant Athletics Director for Development at the University of Denver and Director of Athletic Development at Troy State University.
Barber comes to Michigan State from Miami (Ohio) University where she served as Assistant Director of Athletic Development and played a key role in Miami's $30 million capital campaign. She worked closely with Athletic Director Brad Bates recruiting, soliciting and stewarding the capital campaign leadership committee and prospects. Prior to her experience at Miami, she was a management associate for the Arizona State athletic department. She was an intercollegiate swimmer at Howard University and holds a law degree from Arizona State.
