
MSU Diving Finishes Competition At NCAA Diving Zones

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Michigan State sophomore diver Amy Schmidt (Marquette, Mich.) finished 18th in the one-meter board on Saturday, March 12, at the NCAA Diving Zone `C' Qualifying Meet. The Spartan diving team completed the competition, held at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center on the campus of Purdue University.
Schmidt advanced to the finals of the event, placing 14th in the preliminary round, but finished the final round with a score of 470.35.
Senior Justin Laskowski (Bay City, Mich.) and sophomore Matt Akerley (Marquette, Mich.) placed 18th (257.50) and 19th (246.45), respectively, in the three-meter board for the Spartans.
