EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State University baseball staff will host a fall baseball camp for prospective high school juniors and seniors at Kobs Field, in East Lansing, Mich. Those interested can attend one of two sessions, Sept. 24-25 or Oct. 8-9.
Under the direction of Spartan head coach David Grewe, this is a great opportunity for prospective student-athletes to meet the MSU staff and become more familiar with Michigan State University, both academically and athletically. The camp will give an insight on playing baseball at Michigan State and earning a degree from one of the premier universities in the Midwest.
The Michigan State Fall Prospect Camp is designed for top student-athletes who have a serious interest in playing at Michigan State and/or professional baseball. The participants will be instructed and evaluated by the coaching staff in three phases of the game: hitting, pitching, and fielding.
The camp is restricted to 2006 and 2007 graduates only. A maximum of 84 student-athletes will be accepted to the first session and a maximum of 105 will be accepted to the second session. The cost of the camp is $150.00 per camper and $220.00 per camper if he wishes to pitch and hit. Each player is responsible for their own traveling, accommodations and basic equipment while attending the camp.
All prospective campers must submit the completed application form along with full payment. Applications will be processed as they are received until all positions are filled.
