EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State women's tennis team wrapped-up play at the ITA Midwest Regional Championships at the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility on Oct. 26. Sophomore Lindsey Lonergan (Cincinnati, Ohio) and senior Stephanie Kebler (Okemos, Mich.) partnered to take on Dunja Antunovic and Kristin Gambrell of DePaul in quarterfinal action. Lonergan and Kebler looked to continue their momentum from yesterday's match against Colleen Reilly and Cosmina Ciobanu of Notre Dame, and find their way into the ITA Midwest Regional Doubles semi-finals.
After the two found themselves down early, Kebler and Lonergan tried to repeat yesterday's comeback performance when they found themselves down 4-6 to Reilly-Ciobanu, but the duo could not complete the rally and were defeated by Antunovic and Gambrell, 8-4.
The Spartans will finish up fall play Nov. 6-9 at the Purdue Invitational in West Lafayette, Ind.
