TEAM NOTES
--With the win, Michigan State leads the all-time series with Penn State 25-4 and still holds a perfect record in East Lansing at 16-0.
--MSU is 15-0 this season at home and now has won 19-straight in the Breslin Center. Over the last two season, the Spartans are 23-1 on their home court.
--The Spartans shot 58.3% (35-60) from the field tonight. MSU is 11-1 this season when shooting 50.0% or better
--The seven turnovers tonight matched a season-low, which was originally set during the win over Texas on Dec. 22.
--MSU out-rebounded the Nittany Lions, 38-25. The 22nd time that the Spartans have had more rebounds than their opponent. They are 20-2 when pulling down more boards.
--The MSU bench combined for 37 points, 19 rebounds and 12 assists.
--MSU dished out 30 assists on its 35 made field goals (85.7%); the second best percentage this season. The Spartans tallied 25 assists on 29 baskets at Northwestern (86.2%).
--MSU had 12 players score, 11 players grab a rebound and 10 players dish out an assist.
PLAYER NOTES
--Senior Drew Neitzel scored 10 points tonight to move into a tie for 15th with Andre Huston on the all-time MSU scoring list with 1,393.
--Sophomore Raymar Morgan led the team with 16 points on 7-for-8 shooting from the field. It is the 22nd time this season that Morgan has led the team in scoring, tying Neitzel for the team high.
--Freshman Kalin Lucas had a team-high eight assists tonight, moving his season total to 100.
--Sophomore Isaiah Dahlman had a season high six points on 2-for-3 shooting from behind the arc, tying his career high for made three's.
--Freshman walk-on Mike Kebler scored his first collegiate points in the final minute of tonight contest.
--The MSU starters (Lucas, Morgan, Neitzel, Suton and Naymick) combined for 49 points on 20-for-31 shooting and dished out 18 assists and only four turnovers in just 109 minutes of action.
