2008 Spartan Spirit Pep Rally Gallery
East Lansing, Mich. - Michigan State welcomed the freshman class to campus with the annual Spartan Spirit pep rally held at the Breslin Student Events Center. Attendees were introduced to Sparty and Zeke the Wonder Dog, learned traditional cheers from the cheerleaders and were taught the Fight Song by the Spartan Marching Band.
MSU President Lou Anna K. Simon and Athletics Director Mark Hollis were two members of the campus community that spoke to the crowd.
The MSU volleyball team gave a demonstration and invited all to attend the Green & White game this Saturday at 4 p.m. at Jenison Field House. Football coach Mark Dantonio and the newly-elected team captains were on hand, and women's basketball assistant coach Rick Albro and player Jasmine Homes encouraged all to come out for a game at Breslin. The Spartan hockey team captains and Damon Whitten, director of hockey operations, tossed T-shirts into the crowd.
