
Men's Golf to Host Second-Annual Rees Jones Intercollegiate

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State men's golf will host its second tournament of the Fall, the second-annual Rees Jones Intercollegiate, on Oct. 5-6 at the Haig Point Club on Daufuskie Island, S.C. Play begins on Monday with 36 holes and conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday, with both days scheduled to begin at at 8:30 a.m. ET.
This year's field includes College of Charleston, Georgia State, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Mercer, Michigan State, UNC Wilmington, Pepperdine, San Jose State, South Carolina, Tennessee State, Winthrop.
This will be the third tournament of the season for the Spartans, having tied for third at the Spartan Classic two weeks ago in Kingsley, Mich., and placed seventh in the season-opening Topy Cup in Tanagura, Japan. Individually, MSU has four top-20 finishes in the opening tournaments, including a seventh place showing by senior Jack Newman in the Spartan Classic.
MSU's lineup this week will consist of seniors Andrew Ladwig and Newman, sophomores Jimmy Dewling and Chris Mory, and freshman James Ross.
