EAST LANSING, Mich. - As part of the "Spartan Basketball All-Access" television show, Michigan State athletics is asking fans to vote on their favorite games of the Tom Izzo era. Spartan fans can now see the first set of nominees, leading up to the latest Fans' Top Ten voting on msuspartans.com. Two more sets of nominees will be released in the coming weeks, with voting starting in late December.
The first set of nominees includes Tom Izzo's first career win over Chaminade in 1995, the win over the Harlem Globetrotters in 2000 to snap a 1,270-game win streak for the Globetrotters, and the dramatic win over Texas at Madison Square Garden in 2006.
The list will be revealed one game at a time each week on "Spartan Basketball All-Access," Michigan State's weekly television show dedicated to the men's basketball program. "Spartan Basketball All-Access" will premiere every Monday night at 7 p.m. on FOX Sports Detroit starting on December 14th, and will follow each Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network starting on December 15th. The show will also include game highlights, behind-the-scenes features, and one-on-one interviews with head coach Tom Izzo. Dave Ellis will serve as the host of the program.
