Heyboer Heads to England with U.S. Under-23 Team

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State women's soccer forward Laura Heyboer has joined the U.S. Under-23 Women's National Team for its July 1-10 trip to England where the U.S. will take on the English in two matches.
Heyboer led MSU as a freshman with 21 goals and 51 points en route to becoming the first player in program history to earn NSCAA/adidas All-America honors. In addition to numerous other honors, she was also named Big Ten Freshman of the Year, Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year and SoccerBuzz.com National Freshman of the Year.
The women's U-23 national team will face host England on July 3 and 7 at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre, located about 30 minutes west of London. This season, the U-23 squad is undefeated at 8-0-1 and 2-0-1 in international matches.
Heyboer joins Ashley Bowyer (Ohio State) and Katie Schoepfer (Penn State) as the only other players from Big Ten schools on the team.
