EAST LANSING, Mich. - With the 2009-10 season nearing, there's no better way to stay updated on Michigan State Athletics than to follow the Spartans on their new Twitter page, www.twitter.com/msu_athletics.
Twitter, a free social networking and micro-blogging service available at twitter.com, allows its users to send and read other users' updates (also known as "tweets"). Fans can receive updates on Spartan Athletics at the MSUSpartans.com official Twitter page, on their mobile phone, via instant messaging or through e-mail. In addition, the Spartan Athletics Twitter page can be added to blogs or other social networking sites.
Fans do not need to sign up for Twitter to access the site, but to receive automatic updates, fans will need to create a Twitter account. To create a free account, simply click on the button in the upper-right corner of the page that reads, "Join Today!"
