Chris Mory Wins 2009 GAM Championship

Sophomore Chris Mory won his first GAM Championship with a four stroke victory on Tuesday.

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State men's golf sophomore Chris Mory captured the 2009 GAM Championship on Tuesday at Travis Pointe Country Club in Ann Arbor, Mich. Mory won the title by four strokes with a two-day total 5-under 209 (69-69-71).

The course played at par-71 for the first two rounds, but moved to a par-72 for Tuesday's championship round.

It is the third consecutive year that a Spartan won the GAM Championship, as former MSU golfer Jimmy Chestnut won in 2008 and then-current Spartan Steve Cuzzort took home the title in 2007.
