
Cheza Named Big Ten Co-Wrestler of the Week

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State redshirt sophomore David Cheza was named Big Ten Co-Wrestler of the Week by the conference office on Tuesday (Jan. 26). Cheza shared the award with Ohio State's Lance Palmer.
In Friday's matchup against Minnesota, Cheza, ranked 13th in the 149-pound weight class, defeated 18th-ranked Mario Mason, 12-8. The Grand Blanc native followed Friday's win with a 2-0 shutout against 20th-ranked Eric Terrazas from Illinois on Sunday. With the wins, Cheza improved his winning streak to six and is now 17-7 on the season.
The conference honor is the first of Cheza's career.
