SPARTAN GAME NOTES
With the win, Michigan State improved to 8-0 in conference play for the first time in school history.
For the first time since a 71-53 win at Iowa on Jan. 9, four Spartans scored in double figures - Durrell Summers (10), Raymar Morgan (20), Kalin Lucas (12) and Draymond Green (10).
With 10 points and 10 rebounds, Durrell Summers recorded his second-career double-double...His five assists and 34 minutes played were career highs.
Senior forward Raymar Morgan led MSU with 20 points, marking the fourth consecutive game, and fifth time in the last six, that he has scored in double figures.
Michigan State held Michigan to 32.8 percent shooting from the field - which ties the lowest mark for a Spartan opponent this season (Valparaiso, Nov. 22).
MSU is now 17-3 against Michigan in the last 20 meetings between the two schools while Tom Izzo improved to 17-8 against the Wolverines.
The Spartans outrebounded the Wolverines by 16 (41-25), eclipsing their average advantage margin of 9.5 on the glass...MSU is 16-1 when outrebounding their opponent.
Michigan State is now 2-0 with the starting lineup combination of Kalin Lucas, Chris Allen, Durrell Summers, Raymar Morgan and Delvon Roe.
