EAST LANSING, Mich. - After capturing a share of the 2010 regular-season Big Ten Championship, Michigan State has earned the No. 3 seed in the Big Ten Tournament at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The Spartans will play on Friday night against the winner of Thursday night's Minnesota-Penn State game. MSU's game will start at approximately 9 p.m. and be televised by the Big Ten Network.
Michigan State was 2-0 against both Minnesota and Penn State this season. MSU beat the Gophers, 60-53, on Jan. 13 in East Lansing, and rallied from a 13-point deficit to claim a 65-64 victory in Minneapolis on Jan. 23. The Spartans defeated Penn State, 65-54, in University Park on Feb. 13, and squeaked by with a two-point 67-65 win in East Lansing on March 4.
Michigan State won back-to-back Big Ten Tournament titles in 1999 and 2000.
