EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State baseball team will host Notre Dame in an exhibition on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 2 p.m. in McLane Baseball Stadium. The game will be free of charge.
The event is just one part of a busy day on campus, as the football team also hosts Notre Dame at 8 p.m. in Spartan Stadium.
In addition, the Michigan State baseball program's annual golf outing is set for Friday, Sept. 17 at Forest Akers West, beginning at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start. The cost is $125 per person or $500 for a group of four. For more information on the golf outing, please click here.
"It will be a fun weekend," said MSU head coach Jake Boss. "We're excited to play Notre Dame, even though it's just a scrimmage. It will be a great atmosphere and hopefully we'll get a big crowd out here.
"It's going to be a good opportunity to see what we're going to be like in the spring, and it's good for us to get a lot of our first-year guys in and give them a taste of college baseball before it actually counts so to speak. It's exciting and I think it's something that Michigan State and Notre Dame are going to try and make a tradition for the next few years."
